In Kenya and Tanzania, the rhythm of the seasons has resulted in dry periods and wet periods, all of which have their followers. However, it must be given before making the determination.
The rain is a serious handicap, many tracks become impassable, even with four-wheel drive vehicles, the gates are frequently impassable ... The animals are more dispersed when, in times of drought, they tend to cluster around water points.
However, the showers are often short-term, the sky is often superb and the lights in favour of the shooting.
The rainfall events normally correspond to periods of low season, which can negotiate very large reductions, at least on lodging (prices often vary by a factor of two).
To everyone therefore to choose their period dry season or wet season.
There are two wet periods, the great and the small rainy season. The big rainy season extends from late March to mid-June. Early season, from October to November.
As for attendance, professionals consider that the peak season begins in December, ends in March and resumed from July to September. It is, over this period, absolutely necessary to book before you go.
Of course, as always, is the commanding nature and the rules know all their exceptions, certain days of the dry period can be wet, as the rainy season may not bring water, essential to survival of the flora and fauna.

The austral winter (June to September) is the best time to see the animals. The grass is low and helps distinguish wildlife, water is scarce and animals are forced to go to water points known guides. Attention, the temperature is pleasant in the day, but fell as soon as the sun dips (from 16.00) and the nights are very cool (5 to 10 °). By contrast, the sky was perfectly blue and the light is beautiful all day.
The austral spring (October-December) may be useful insofar as it is the time when most of the females gave birth, this will often take pictures of interest. This is also the period when many plants are in bloom!
