LOCATION
The Rwanda, which covers an area of 26338 square kilometers, is one of the smallest African States. The country is composed of highlands located on the line dividing the waters of the Nile and Congo. To the west, a mountainous area overlooking Lake Kivu and extends to the north by the Virunga volcano chain. The central plateau, an average altitude of 1700 m, crossed rivers and gullies filled with soil, which form well-cut hills. To the east, savannah, marsh and lakes are along the Kagera River.
The subequatorial climate is tempered by altitude. There are two dry seasons, one in January and another from May to September. The rainfall is abundant on the summits but decrease on the eastern plains.
Temperatures annual averages around 68° F, with a strong note amplitude night in the mountains.
