The vehicle, three possibilities, 4X4, the minibus or large truck fitted. The latter formula, in principle the most economical, is not the most convenient for taking pictures, far from it, it should not be accepted. The minibus is very useful, especially if it is not complete, 6, it will still above is galère! The 4X4 is appreciable provided that the roof is built and that could be photographed standing as in the minibus.
Luggage, bags are to be avoided, plan bags flexible and deformable. Think of travel "light", not held for the nights in lodges. Remember, when preparing your luggage that they can get lost in the course of air travel, we have seen fellow safari who have found that their landing in Paris at the back! Accordingly keep cabin which is absolutely necessary and perhaps, if you travel two, it would be useful to divide your personal effects in the two bags. It would be surprising that the two were lost, and thus, you do not end up completely destitute.
The program, beware, when choosing a safari, do not be tempted by the tour operator that offers the greatest parks to visit. Unless you have chosen a high-end program with travel by air taxi trips are made by minibus or 4X4!
These trips are long, are (except South Africa) on runways or very uncomfortable (and this is not always better) on roads in very poor condition. Good roads are still rare! The result is considerable waste of time, especially on a short stay, all for a change in park, which will sometimes not much more. It may be more appropriate to select a limited number of parks and to spend more time!
The driver-tracker is that it rests on the success of your safari. Tell him clearly
what you expect of your safari, it will do its utmost to satisfy you. He knows perfectly
savannah, habits of the animals and will help you make the most of the marvellous
spectacle offered by nature. There will be no problems with the language, all countries
described here are anglophone !
